There is so much grey rooftop canvas in downtown Nelson, BC. The open exposure heat in the summer is staggering which could be offset by more greenscaping. Green roofs are known to be highly effective in reducing energy bills for due to regulating a buildings thermal activity and harvesting rain water. Overlooking the city of Nelson from any view looks much better in green than a sullen concrete grey that retains heat in the summer and cold in the winter.
